چکیده

(One) Background: Using textile waste materials in composites is a well-known problem and frequently addressed by various scientific teams. Most of this work concerns introduced into as yarn strands. The present focuses on adding wastes prepared the form single filaments spun to fluff, which was produced from felt automotive industry. (Two) Methods: material extracted bulkheads worn-out vehicles, serving thermal acoustic insulation. shredded fibres with fibre diameter 0.08–0.3 mm 2–8 cm length. used filler modifier for composites. Four test batches were different recyclate contents. A traditional cementitious composite without additives comparison material. (Three) Results: Composites filled 3% have 23.31% lower density (1.71 g/cm3), 71.03% higher absorbability (21.58%), 49.58% tensile strength (19.86 MPa), 53.55% compressive (3.64 MPa) than Partitions made these had much insulation Composite 1% resistant phenomena spalling. Moreover, spot flame loading did not damage composite, there no scratches or defects. (Four) Conclusions: tests proved that could potentially be fillers modifiers lightweight addition improves resistance local

Mechanical Characterization of Sheet Moulding Composites for the Automotive Industry

The mechanical properties of Sheet Moulding Composite (SMC) have been analyzed by means of static and fatigue tests in tension. SMCs show a substantial in-plane anisotropy either in terms of stiffness or strength. Fatigue data were modeled adopting a fatigue model with two parameters, represented by the cyclic number and the mean stress. The statistical implementation of such model was based on...

A study from the automotive industry

In the era of big data, it is imperative to assist the human analyst in the endeavor to find solutions to ill-defined problems, i.e. to “detect the expected and discover the unexpected” [22]. To their aid, a plethora of analysis support systems is available to the analysts. However, these support systems often lack visual and interactive features, leaving the analysts with no opportunity to gui...

Fermentative Hydrogen Production from Food-industry Wastes

Τhis study focuses on the exploitation of food-industry wastes as a source for hydrogen production. The wastes which were used were out of date solid baby foods at seven different flavors (solid wastes) and a glucose-based syrup (liquid waste). Preliminary batch hydrogen experiments at mesophilic conditions and initial carbohydrates concentration of 5 g/L were performed to assess the hydrogen p...

Ultralight-hybrid Vehicle Design: Overcoming the Barriers to Using Advanced Composites in the Automotive Industry

Many diverse and important barriers, both real and perceived, inhibit automakers’ adoption of advanced composite materials. A strategy to produce an all-advanced-composite body-in-white (BIW) commercially could be the best method to overcome these barriers. This paper summarizes the ultralight, hybrid-electric “hypercar” concept, emphasizing why massoptimization is crucial to its design; summar...
